Tesco Store

The Tesco store would create more than 500 jobs – half guaranteed for local people who are long-term unemployed.The job guarantee would include pre-employment training, offering numeracy and literacy skills, confidence building and team working skills. It will allow people to do their main weekly shop locally instead of travelling out of the area.

The new Tesco Extra would have 100,194sq ft retail (selling) space - not the largest superstore in the Manchester area but nevertheless offering great choice and value in food and non-food ranges.

Ensuring customers can get to the store easily and local residents aren't inconvenienced will be critical to our success. We're confident that investment in road access means that traffic flows can be effectively managed.
